The purpose of this training is to give and transmit to our customer employees involved in the WC rings logistic the full knowledge and best operational practices to have a successful and consistent operation in the Morgan Rod Outlet decreasing costs, and increasing the Rolling Mill productivity.

  3. WC Rings warehouse layout and management (hands on training)
    1. WC Rings rack space identification
    2. Single Family NTM WC Rings
    3. WC Rings by product for the RSM
    4. RSM Pass diagram by stand and by product
  4. WC Rings assembly shop layout and management (hands on training)
    1. Existing features, devices and equipment for WC ring assembly
    2. Tapper sleeves rack space identification
    3. Cover shafts rack space identification
    4. Assembly bench and cleaning tubs
    5. Cars & Benches for spare WC rings
    6. Bench to verify the contact area of tapper sleeves with a gauge shaft
  5. WC Rings spares preparation (hands on training)
    1. Importance, understanding and usage of the mill counter or other tool for this purpose
    2. Pass life in NTM & RSM
    3. According the production program schedule which WC ring spares should be prepare.
    4. Select and choose from the WC Ring Rack the rings to be assembly (verifying the ring ID number)
    5. How to verify the Ring grooves using the proper template or the optical comparator
    6. How to verify that the chosen WC rings are cracks free
    7. How to manage properly the tapper sleeves to be mounted
    8. How to clean properly the WC rings & tapper sleeves to be mounted
    9. How to assembly the WC rings using the right tools.
    10. How to identify the WC rings (stand, product, top and bottom shaft)
    11. How to protect the rings assembly against the dust.
    12. How and where should the spares will be placed in the mill.
  6. How to disassembly the used WC rings that came from the Rolling mill (hands on training)
    1. How to transport the WC rings from the Rolling mill to the assembly shop and vice versa.
    2. How to use the pass life control sheets or other tool for the same purpose
    3. How to disassembly WC rings.
    4. How to manage the worn WC rings & tapper sleeves
    5. How to check the tapper sleeves contact area against the NTM and RSM shafts
    6. How to clean and store properly the tapper sleeves
  7. Cleaning and mounting The WC Rings in the NTM and RSM by the Operation crew. (hands on training)
    1. How to use the hydraulic tool for mounting the WC rings in the NTM and RSM with the proper pressure according the Morgan specification.
    2. How to use the hydraulic tool for dismounting the WC rings in the NTM and RSM with.
